An Informative Carrd About World Issues
This is going to be a carrd about all the current world issues. A lot of people don't know about some of the things i'm going to talk about, which i'm hoping to change.
This carrd will contain potential triggering topics, words. etc. So please read at your own risk. I will not be censoring anything, but i will add trigger warnings before each topic if they have triggering topics.

My intent is not to harm anyone, just help educate people and spread awareness about the issue. I've tried my best to educate myself and get the correct facts on each issue.
If I miss any big issue, please let me know and I will definitely do my research on it and add a section dedicated to it

Portland, Oregon
Yesterday Trump deployed federal forces (police, military) to Portland, Oregon. I am trying to understand the situation as i write this, but from what ive gathered they are taking people off of the streets, arresting them without saying anything. Human rights are being violated, protests are occuring still, hell is breaking loose, and they are basically kidnapping people. Actual kidnappings are taking place and people in vans are swiping people off of the street.
As i write this, PACT ( Protecting American Communities Task Force) has been deployed.
Oregon officials are suing for violating civil rights
It is like trump has declared martial law.
In Iran, 3 men are going to be executed for protesting. In Iran, if you speak up or express yourself you will be arrested or killed. They were sentenced to death by the Islamic court on June 24th 2020.

Global warming is getting so much worse and nobody cares. In the icebergs in the north, ancient diseases and viruses have been found. As global warming has gotten worse, scientists are expecting that these diseases will be released soon.
A new swine flu has been found in Chinese pigs. Scientists are saying that a pandemic isn't going to happen right away, but there is still a danger from it.
In Kyrgyzstan, there is a new pneumonic disease, but they are trying to hide it.
A new security law was passed on June 30th that is kind of similar to the one that was placed in the Philippines regarding its provisions.

Many of you, think that anti-Semitism is rare and that its no longer a thing, but that's wrong. Even I thought this until I saw a thread on twitter about it, and I am disgusted.
What is anti-Semitism? Its prejudice and/or discrimination against Jews as individuals or as a group. anti-Semitism is based on stereotypes and myths, such as them being greedy and money hungry.
Anti-Semitism is still happening a lot today, and many anti-semitic hate crimes are swept under the rug and is barely talked about on social media, hence why a lot of people dont know about this.
On Netflix, Orthodox-Jews are typically portrayed as extremists and cultists, which isn't true. They are nothing like that, and its disgusting how they portray them

People are protesting against the dictatorship as there have been lots of blatant lies that the government has been spreading. Police are pepper spraying, throwing pepper spray, and are bashing people with sticks. there is absolutely NO media coverage of this because the president owns all the channels, except for one American channel, its the only channel not owned by the president. They are beating innocent protestors for peacefully protesting!

The NTH room was an online 'room' where millions of people watched girls get raped, beaten, and killed, all of varying ages. Nobody has been arrested since most people are in the government, or have a higher status than most.

this bill has been passed, the president signed it on July 3rd 2020. from reading what the bill says, everything is pretty much the same as what I have stated below. The link to the bill is going to be below
The Junk Terror Bill is a bill that is going to be passed in 8 days in the Philippines. This bill will silence the people of the Philippines, taking away a lot of their rights. Anything that is said against the government will be considered terrorism and one of the punishments of this is life in prison. People will not be able to speak freely about the issue, and once this is passed Philippians cannot say anything on the matter because it would be considered terrorism.

As explained in the last image, anyone accused of being a terrorist would be immediately jailed without a case or even being notified for up to 24 days. If they are found guilty, they would be jailed for 12 years up to life in prision.
Black lives have mattered, do matter, and will matter. This is not a trend, this is not a one week thing, this is an ongoing movement. This has been going on for decades, even centuries. do not stop talking about this issue until black people get their rights.
an explanation on ACAB
ACAB means all cops are bastards/bad. This is NOT directed at any individual cop, so please stop using your granddad or father as an example why this term is bad and shouldnt be used. It means that cops are bad because they are supporting a corrupt and racist system. By working for someone or a business, you are supporting them because you are helping them earn money. Thats the same thing for cops, they are working for the police system, which is showing support to the government. Regardless if they support blm themselves or not, they are supporting a system run by racists, and by working and doing their job, they are supporting fellow racist officers.
Acab has two meanings that are different but very similar. First is all cops are bad, which means all cops are bad because they work for a corrupt and bad system. All cops are bastards is similar, but that cops are bastards because they work for a bastardized and corrupt system. The reason why this is said is because cops willingly choose to work for and support this system, and they could leave at any time. there are millions of other jobs, covid or not, that are open, that can pay them. They are also considered bad/bastards because they dont turn in those bad cops. Say you have 1300 good cops and 12 bad cops. If those 1300 good cops dont turn those bad cops in, you habe 1312 bad cops. It doesnt matter how good of a person they are/were, who they are, etc. they work for the police force, they are bad/a bastard
Yes, cops have done good things, but those things are heavily outweighed by all the bad things they have done.

Yemen is currently facing its largest Humanitarian crisis in history, as well as a war.

this flag was used by the Japanese when they went to colonize Korea and the Philippines and brutally attacked China. The Japanese brutally killed thousands of people and sexually harassed tons of women and worse, and the Japanese proudly used this flag while doing so.
the setting sun flag (which is a completely different flag) or just lines without the circle in the middle don't count as a rising sun flag so those are okay. Even if you change the colors or move them around a bit it's still the rising sun flag, nothing changes. Its still the same flag.
please please please do not use this flag for designs, characters, aesthetics, etc. Many Asians see this as their version of the German Nazi flag, so again, please do not use this flag for anything. it is extremely offensive to Koreans, the Chinese, and Philippinos.

I have seen way to much of this shit. WAY to much.
let me get something straight, using specific things, such as accessories like a headdress, is fine, but you should know about its history and use it appropriately. When you straight up say "oh its just an accessory" that is where the issue is. No, accessories of culture are not just simple accessories, they have history and meaning to them, and are important to many people. Saying its just some random accessory is disrespectful to the culture and its people. Its pretty much cultural appropriation, which isn't right at all.
What is cultural appropriation?
Its when someone takes an important marker that is a big part, or originates, from a culture and uses it them self and in their culture and lifestyle.
The same thing applies for ANY part of of a culture.
An example is using a Native American headdress. Recently I have seen this happen when it comes to designs. By using a headdress, you should know the meaning behind it, what it symbolizes, what the feathers symbolize, etc.

The world is currently facing a huge issue. Climate change. The world is changing. The world is getting hotter. Why you might ask? Let me explain.
Scientists aren't entirely sure why the world is changing, but they have some theories. One of the theories is that the earths orbit is becoming more elliptical, making the earth go closer to the sun during the fall and spring, and further during the summer and winter. There are many other theories, but regardless, the earth is heating up. And what is 99% of the world doing? Literally nothing. Please try and help save our planet, sign petitions, do things that are in the link below, etc.
Our world is changing like previously stated. The oceans are full of plastic, marine life is dying, we are cutting down trees and loosing a major major oxygen producer, and one if the many things that reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. The icebergs are melting and the sea is rising, and people aren't doing anything. Please try to do something about this, try to recycle, don't use paper based products, follow the link below, etc.
